I am a full time photographer and digital artist based in Stafford. Born and brought up in South Wales, I have been taking photos since I was seven years old. One of my aunts took me to London for a week and I took photos of all the famous sites. It was the 1960s but I was too young to understand what that meant! I still have the album of photos that I took on that holiday. Nelson's Column has never leaned over so far! I fell in love with photography on that holiday and I am still infatuated. My cameras are better quality now ... and so are my pictures. 

 

After education, I worked in engineering for a number of years and was privileged to travel through parts of Latin America, Africa and South and South East Asia. Later on I worked in IT before setting up my own business in 2005. 

 

From my engineering experience, I have a fascination with photographing products from jewellery to items of machinery. I also love to teach and I get a real buzz from training small groups and individuals to get more pleasure from their hobby. 

 

I loved taking photos of my children when they were small and now that I am an enthusiastic grandfather, I get to take pictures of my five wonderful grandchildren which is marvelous. 

 

As well as making memories through photographs, I am also a digital artist which means that I take photos and turn them into digital paintings. These can be photos that I have taken or photos that my clients have taken, usually on their phones. I take the original and replace the original pixels (including the backgrounds) with fully hand painted brush strokes. 

 

Apart from work, I still love to travel and all our holidays are based around taking photos!
